Sanjay Gandhi National Park Hounded by Ghostly Tales

Sanjay Gandhi National Park, an oasis of greenery in the heart of Mumbai, has long been a haven for nature enthusiasts, hikers and birdwatchers.

However, amidst the tales of its natural beauty, the park is also shrouded in eerie legends and ghostly folklore.  As the sun dips below the horizon and darkness descends, the park’s reputation takes on an intriguing twist. Nightfall casts a mysterious veil over the terrain, and locals share spine-tingling accounts of paranormal occurrences and ghostly encounters. One chilling story tells of a spectral woman who materialises out of thin air asking lone travellers for a ride.

While the ghostly legends persist, they coexist alongside the park’s vibrant wildlife.
