Foggy Mornings and Warm Afternoons in Mumbai’s Weather Update today.

Mumbai is set to experience a mix of misty mornings and partly cloudy afternoons in the coming days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Today’s forecast predicts morning fog or mist, clearing by the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range from 23°C to a high of 35°C, accompanied by a humidity level of 55% and a wind velocity of 8 km/h. The sun will rise at 6:57 AM and set at 6:00 PM.

On December 4, similar conditions are expected, with morning mist transitioning to partly cloudy skies. The temperature range will remain between 22°C and 35°C. By December 5, the weather will turn clearer, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures holding steady between 23°C and 35°C. December 6 will bring mostly clear skies, with a slight dip in temperatures to 22°C for the minimum and 34°C for the maximum. On December 7, a further drop in temperatures is anticipated, with lows of 20°C and highs of 33°C under clear skies. Mumbai’s Air Quality Index (AQI) currently stands at 114, which is classified as moderate. While generally safe for most individuals, children and people with respiratory conditions like asthma are advised to stay indoors. For others, limiting outdoor exposure is recommended, particularly during periods of peak pollution.

Monitoring AQI levels is essential to safeguard health, especially for those sensitive to air pollution. To minimise risks, residents should stay hydrated, use air purifiers indoors, and consider wearing masks outdoors when necessary. Plan your mornings with caution, as the misty conditions may affect visibility. Commuters should drive carefully during foggy hours. Carry sunscreen and sunglasses for the afternoon warmth, and take necessary precautions to avoid prolonged exposure to moderate air quality. With warm afternoons and clearer skies ahead, Mumbai offers an ideal opportunity for outdoor activities, as long as residents remain mindful of air quality and temperature fluctuations.
